Serambi
Inspired by Malay Vernacular Design, this serambi area acts as a separation between visitors and occupants of the space.
Bilik Guru
Bilik Guru or Teacher's room is a semi private space with ample space for formal work with a relaxing lounge space; to unwind from a hard day's work.
Bilik Bayi
Bilik Bayi or Babies' Room is where our little rascals will be hanging out at. Designed for 6 babies with two teachers, this space consist of a sleeping area, play area and bilik basah (wet room).
Kolong
Who says under the staircase is a negative space? Here is where the children will hang out and talk about important issues such as the best character in Ejen Ali and who is better, Upin or Ipin. Hot debate!
Atas
Atas, literally translates as upstairs is the classroom level for children age 3-6. 100% Flexible with 360 degrees partitions, 40 children can fit on this floor, monitored by 4 teachers. Whew. Goodluck teachers.

In all seriousness, the space is highly functional as it can be used for formal classes or opened for a large group activity. You can also divide the space into 2 to separate the boys and girls during their afternoon nap. See the alcove at the second perspective? That is parallel to the Qibla, this space could also be a mini surau for our mini imams.
Atas
With a trapezium and rainbow shaped desk, this allows for multiple formations for the classes. It can be tucked away in one corner, same goes with the stackable chairs. As for the whiteboard, it is an A-Frame custom made on castors that can be scribbled till the bottom! So the kids can join in too!
Tengah
Tengah is located literally, at tengah-tengah of the ECCE. It is the center of the school, where the children will gather each morning, have lunch and have their freeplay before going home. Huh lunch? Where are they going to eat I hear you ask?
Tengah as Makan-Makan Area
These 'tikar gulung' are tucked away underneath the platform. The act of rolling them together, setting the place up for lunch, and tucking them away again will increase the silaturrahim of the children. Awh!

Plus eating on the floor is a sunnah :) Plus when the elders and children are sitting on the floor, there is no hierarchy involved, everyone is sitting on the same level. Plus, just kidding thats all, but that's a lot of benefits right!
Basuh Tangan & Washroom & Wudhu
These wet areas are all located at the same corner. And both of these spaces are ergonomically designed for children!
Selang
Selang (literally translates as space or skip) is a courtyard area that cuts off the extension of the building. Tropical and flowery plants that are planted here cools down the space, gives the users fresher air and the children are able to learn the science of nature right within their school.

There is also a water source because Selang is on the same level with the outdoors where the children will play and get dirty from their exploration. Wash yo feet kids before going in!
Tepi
Tepi is the children's creative space where they will explore art, science and cooking classes. Yes! We are creating little Picassos, Einstein, and lil' Gordon Ramsays here! (Erk are you sure about the last one).

During their art class, they can lay on the floor and draw on the rolled out paper. They can also sit cross legged and use the platform as the table. If that does not suit them, they can flip the chair and turn it into a table and use that instead. Well well well, if that is not enough, they can stand and use the easel instead!

So many options!

The windows and doors on all sides can be opened fully, which transforms the space as a HUGE gazebo for the children when they are having their outdoor play.
